Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, is known the world over because
it was there in 1903 that the brothers made their first controlled
flight. Throughout their lives, they gave exhibitions throughout
the United States and Europe, touting the advantages of flying.
Great inventors with tremendous foresight and imagination, anyone
who has ever flown in a plane owes a debt of gratitude to Orville
and Wilbur Wright.
