| Emmett
Kelly is better known as "Weary Willie," everybody's favorite
clown. He entertained circus audiences as a tramp-hobo-clown
for over five decades, and even performed for such notables
as Winston Churchill, Harry Truman and Queen Elizabeth. The
circus was Emmett's first love, but he also performed on Broadway,
television and in movies. A talented cartoonist and trapeze
artist, his circus career began with London-based circuses before
moving to the world renowned Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey
Circus. |
