Bobby Darin's accolades as a Grammy Winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Inductee, Academy Award Nominee, television star, and popular Las Vegas
nightclub performer will not soon be matched. Darin composed and recorded
two of the most popular hits of all time, "Splish Splash," and "Dream
Lover," and garnered four gold records all before turning 25. In addition
to writing and performing numerous other popular songs, Darin's signature
hit, "Mack the Knife," remained in the top-ten for 52 weeks with over two
months at number one.
Bobby Darin's life is currently being immortalized in "Beyond the Sea," a
biographical feature starring Tony Award and two-time Oscar-winning actor,
Kevin Spacey. "Beyond the Sea" also stars Kate Bosworth as Darin's wife,
movie actress Sandra Dee. Made with the cooperation of the Darin family,
Kevin Spacey not only performs, but directed the film and sings many of
Bobby Darin's signature hits as well.
